Katy Perry, a mom, herself, was accused of “Mom Shaming” on American Idol, and let’s see if you agree.

The “Mom Shaming” episode in question aired about a month ago, when Sara Beth Liebe tried out her vocal cords in front of Katy Perry, Luke Bryan, and Lionel Richie.

When the judges first met the red haired songstress, they were astounded when Sara Beth told them she was only 25 years old.

I must agree, Sara Beth is doing something right, because she looks not a day over 20.

When she dropped the bomb that she was a mother of three kids, the surprised judges nearly hit the floor.

Katy actually got up from her chair, and acted like she was about to fall out on the table.

Luke Bryan asked, “You okay, Katy?” To which Katy Perry responded in a stunned voice, “Nope.”

If Katy lays on the table, I think I’m gonna pass out.

This next part is the response from Katy.

It’s the entire reason that people are accusing Katy of “Mom Shaming” the 25-year-old mother of three.

You tell me what you think?

Honey, you’ve been laying on the table too much.

It was just a little witty comeback by Katy, but it seems that it was exactly the wrong thing to say.

Sara Beth took to her Instagram page to give her take and share her feelings on how she felt about Katy’s comment.

It was embarrassing to have that on TV, and it was hurtful. And, you know, that’s that.

Sara Beth Liebe

I did want to take this opportunity just to say I think that women supporting and uplifting other women is so cool. And, I think that mom-shaming is super lame.

Sara Beth Liebe

I think that it’s hard enough to be a mom and it’s hard enough to be a woman.

Sara Beth Liebe

I also wanted to take this opportunity to say I see all of the young moms and just moms in general — keep loving your babies.

Sara Beth Liebe

Nobody deserves to feel crappy about that. I think that if you’re a good mama and you love your babies, that’s all that really matters. Other comments just don’t feel necessary.

So, what do you think? Was Katy Perry “Mom Shaming?”
