How exciting is this Linkin Park news?!?

I can’t believe it has been 5 1/2 years since Chester Bennington passed away at the age of 41 on July 20, 2017.

That hardly seems possible.

Now, Linkin Park has announced that they are going to unveil a previously unreleased single that is fronted by Chester Bennington on vocals.

I can’t even begin to tell you how giddy I am about this news!

Linkin Park has been sharing a series of cryptic messages on Twitter, and the Tweets have had fans trying to guess the clues.

But, nobody thought it possible that we would hear more of Chester Bennington!

It is about to be the 20th anniversary of the band’s 2003 album Meteora — man, I feel old — and to celebrate, Linkin Park is releasing a previously unheard single.

The track is titled “Lost,” and it has vocals by Chester — and my heart is happy.

The band announced the release in a big way, sharing an 18-second teaser video on its social platforms.

The video shows a man in a gas mask spray painting the camera black.

Then, the words we have all been waiting for appear on the screen: “New Linkin Park Music.”

Gah!! I mean, can you even believe it?!?

Mike Shinoda, co-founder of Linkin Park, previously spoke about a potential Linkin Park reunion, and it wasn’t very promising at the time.

The only Linkin Park news I have for you is that … Yeah, we talk every few weeks — I talk to the guys, or some of the guys — And there’s no tours, there’s no music, there’s no albums in the pipeline. Okay, so let me just tell you that. So just keep in your minds that that is not happening.

But, I’ll definitely take new Linkin Park music with Chester Bennington!

“Lost” is going to be released THIS Friday, and you better believe I’m going to be first in line to the listening party!

R.I.P. Chester. We miss you fiercely, but are so glad you get to live on through your music.
