Once again, Disney has given us a taste of the magic, literally!

I was just writing about their grilled cheese sandwich recipe that Disney so kindly shared with the rest of the population. Yet here we are again, grateful to be receiving another delicious treat!

This one might actually knock your socks off; the grilled cheese recipe was definitely one of a kind, but this one you guys will make your life that much more sweet than it already is.

And yes if you couldn’t already tell, their newest giveaway recipe is indeed a dessert!

It’s the Cookie Fries from Disney’s Beaches & Cream Soda Shop at the Beach Club Resort.

The ingredient list only takes 6 items and frankly they’re easy to get unless you already have them in your household.

These cookies are also plant-based, which is pretty neat too. However if you’re not a fan of plant-based desserts, you can easily swap out those ingredients for something else that suites your tastebuds instead!

The recipe calls for:

  • 2 3/4 cup of all-purpose Flour
  • 1/2 cup and 1 tablespoon of Powdered Sugar
  • 1/2 cup and 1 tablespoon of plant-based Margarine, softened
  • 7 tablespoons of warm water
  • 5 tablespoons of liquid egg substitute
  • 1 tablespoon of Molasses
  • 1/2 cup of dairy-free mini chocolate chips

Here is how you make them:

Combine your Flour, Powdered Sugar, and plant-based Margarine in an electric mixer with a paddle attachment. Beat the mixture on medium speed until smooth.

In a small bowl, combine the warm water and egg substitute. Then, add the egg substitute and Molasses to the mixer. Again, mix on a medium speed until smooth.

Add in your chocolate chips, YAY!

Place in an 8×8-inch pan and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Next, preheat your oven to 325°F and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.

Cut your cookie mixture into 32 strips that are 1/4-inch wide and 4 inches long, then place 16 strips on each baking sheet.

Bake the cookie fries for 20-22 minutes, until they’re crunchy and you’re done!

Now that’s a dessert to add to the recipe book, but do we really have to tell the family it came from the big mouse himself?! Well, I guess we should considering Disney’s already being kind enough for sharing their delicious treats with us, thank you Disney!

  1. I made these using butter and egg in place of the plant-based alternatives just because that’s what I had on hand. I’m sorry to say that after one bite I threw them all out. They were bland, had no sweetness and seemed more like dog biscuits. I really wanted to like them, as they sounded fun. This can’t be the actual recipe that Disney uses to make them, as I can’t imagine their customers would find them appealing. Thanks for sharing the idea, and maybe we can continue to adjust the recipe to improve the outcome.

  2. Can someone convert this so it can be made out of real food? I would love to make this if it was translated to normal.

  3. I think you need to sound a bit kinder about it being plant based. The way you come off about it not suiting everyone’s tastebuds is a downer to the food allergy families who are frickin overjoyed about this plant based treat that their kids can have. Let’s celebrate this (almost) inclusive treat.

    1. I mean, really? I think maybe you are just overly sensitive to the issue. We are just saying that some of those items are hard to come by right now, so it’s super simple to sub out for other ingredients.

  4. what would the recipe look like not plant based. how would u change the eggs?
