Netflix May Be Raising Their Prices Soon But I’m Not Even Mad About It

Your Netflix nightly binge is about to get more expensive — but not by much.

Some viewers aren’t at all happy about the impending price hike, but Netflix investors are over in the corner cheering! The bump in revenue may be couch change to most viewers, but it’s going to be quite a big deal to those invested in the streaming giant.

You see, the price may only go up $1 to $2 per subscriber, per month, but think about exactly how many people subscribe to Netflix — like, just about EVERYONE on the face of the planet!

Sure, there are those viewers that are “borrowing” passwords, but according to Yahoo Finance, there are still enough Netflix subscribers to make the streaming company “$500 million to $1 billion in extra sales in 2021, should it decide to raise prices.”

You KNOW there are going to be some people that threaten to drop their Netflix subscriptions over the $1 monthly hike, but the majority of people are probably going to just shrug and pay it.

I mean, it doesn’t get much bigger than Netflix right now. Just for its Netflix Originals shows and movies alone, people have a good reason to fork out the extra bit of monthly change.

The last time Netflix raised prices was in January of 2019 — which really doesn’t seem like that long ago, but look at EVERYTHING Netflix has brought us since then!

From movies like Extraction and Enola Holmes, to TV Originals like Stranger Things, Orange is the New Black, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Dead to Me, Ozark, and The Umbrella Academy — life would be much bleaker without having Netflix to chill with on a nightly basis!!

By the way, if you haven’t seen even ONE of those shows, you are NOT living your best life!! Turn on Netflix, and get to binge watching!!

So when is this price hike going to happen? Well, technically, it hasn’t even been announced yet. It is pure speculation at this point — but it is pretty strong speculation, and I’d expect that it is going to happen sooner rather than later.

Dude, it’s $2 or less per month. Just suck it up, and pay it. You know you are NOT going to want to miss what’s in store for the future at Netflix!!
