5 Reasons To NOT Vaccinate Your Kids
People shouldn’t have to vaccinate their kids. In fact, parents absolutely know what’s best for their kids in every situation, which is why you’ve never heard of a mom calling a doctor at two AM because her child has a fever.

Moms automatically know exactly what to do. They know better than anyone what their child needs or doesn’t need.
That’s why the vaccination debate is so ridiculous to me…because moms inherently know more than everyone. Which brings me to this… 5 Reasons To NOT Vaccinate Your Kids.

When a woman conceives a child, the entirety of human knowledge is written into her essence and as that child is brought forth unto this world, that knowledge flowers in her mommy brain and every decision she makes for her child is absolutely the right, and only right decision.
So who are we to judge those moms that choose NOT to vaccinate THEIR kids?

Before you get your mom panties in a knot, hear me out…
5 Reasons To NOT Vaccinate Your Kids
1. You don’t like them, anyway.
I get it. Some kids are just born a little more awful than others. So if your plan is to not vaccinate your kid in hopes that they’ll catch some horrible virus that’ll off them so you can start over, sure. That makes total sense.
It’s evil, and disgusting, and I hope you get a million fire ant bites, but hey, the good news is that’s less likely to happen to you than your child catching something deadly because you’re an inherent dumb-dumb.

2. You’re more scared of big scientific sounding words than you are of viruses that have killed millions upon millions of people.
I get it! Vaccines have a lot of big, scary words. And, some of the ingredients in vaccines have been linked to carcinogenic risks and I bet even a very eensy teensy tiny portion of the population might be allergic to some of the ingredients and they might have a bad reaction.
Know what? That’s why the doctor keeps you at the office for 15 minutes after your child receives a vaccine. That way if they react, the doctor can fix it. Nifty set up, huh?

As for the scary words, know what other scientific word kills people? Dihydrogen monoxide. And yet you still put it into your body every single day. So put away your dictionary, and stop freaking out over words that you maybe don’t understand.

3. You believe all internet memes are true.
“Gandhi was against vaccines. A mother flipping meme told me so.” Yeah, I’ve seen that meme. And I’ve looked it up. And you know what he compared vaccines to? Eating beef.
Vaccines are as bad as eating beef because cows and all life is sacred. So here’s where that comes from: the small pox vaccine was derived from cows infected with cow pox. Which means that every person who received a small pox vaccine was being given a small amount of cow.

I can definitely understand why a man whose religion holds cows as sacred would be against being injected with one. But unless you, too, are a fruitarian (which he was), perhaps you should put down your Big Mac and go get your kids their freakin’ vaccines.
4. You’d rather your children build their immunity to things like polio and measles naturally…just like you did.
Oh, wait. You didn’t have polio did you. Know why? ‘CAUSE YOUR PARENTS GOT YOU VACCINATED!
5. You know more about vaccines from that one article you read online than your pediatrician knows after eight years of higher education and thousands of hours of study.
I’ll just let the people in this video address that one…
Look, I understand that I don’t live in your house, I’ve not experienced your life and I certainly can’t judge you for your parenting choices. But I’m going to anyway.
Not getting your children vaccinated is really stupid. Like, it’s really stupid.

It makes me furious and makes the blood in my veins boil with hatred toward you for putting your children in such a vulnerable and dangerous position. And if it just affected YOUR children, I might even be able to hold back my vitriol; but, it doesn’t.
Your infected child can infect a child who is too young to be vaccinated. Your child can infect a child who is fighting cancer, or whose immunity has been compromised by something else entirely out of their control.

YOUR child can act as a walking time bomb and spread illnesses that haven’t been around for years all because the idea of giving them a medically sound shot scares you.
Your child deserves better. Get your kids vaccinated. Don’t be that parent that we all hate.
Jamie’s Note: To those parents who can’t vaccinate because their child is immunocompromised, or allergic, etc. this obviously isn’t directed at you. In fact, you should be the most pissed off at the people who don’t vaccinate their perfectly healthy children– because that is how your children stay safe!

The vaccine skeptics have arosen because of the efficiency of the vaccines. PRECISELY.
And with the return of the diseases vaccines prevent, they will RAPIDLY start to vanish again. No sooner than that, unfortunately.
No argument will convince an average internet doctor as throughly as suffering the consequences of their “beliefs”.
To pro-vaxxers in these comments: all your efforts are futile. Pro-vaxxers do not need any more proof than there already are. Anti-vaxxers still rather believe internet anecdotes than common sense, or, God forbid, science.
A question for anti-vaxxers: if your non vaxxed child steps on a rusty nail, will you deny them TT vaccine?
I’m not trying to provoke, i truly am curious.
Just wow! Some of these comments are so ignorant as is the blog. I see you made a side note to exclude those of us parents who don’t vaccinate for allergy reasons. Thanks…I guess. My twins both have allergies to 2 major components that are present in many vaccines. Here’s the rub…had I just gone with the schedule as recommended I would’ve found this out in the worst possible way, after they had been injected. Who knows what the result would’ve been. My doctor “humored me” in my desire to delay vax until we had a better understanding of their own immunological response and allergies. Thank goodness it isn’t law to stick with the schedule because around a year old for one (16 months for the other) is when we found out about their allergies.
Here’s the other problem that most anti vax and delay vax families have trouble with. Most doctors and some states won’t allow you to pick and choose once you’ve started unless there’s been a reaction, you must do them all. So while I would’ve been ok to do some vaccines once they were cleared, there are others that I find ridiculous. Like, why an infant born to negative parents who live low/no risk lifestyles needs a Hepatitis vaccine the day they are born. When nobody has any idea of what this small persons allergies could even be. Why can’t I refuse a hepatitis or a chicken pox vaccine but still get the MMR? The risk of chicken pox death is so minuscule that the idea that we vaccinate for this is absurd.
Anyway before assuming people are uneducated, which I’m not, why don’t you without a critical eye hear their reasoning.
Total bullshit – no doctor can force you to follow a schedule of their choice… they can advise you but ultimately you make the choice. And unless you personally know a 4 month old that died from 7 vaccines in one day, again you’re letting the internet rule your thinking
Chickenpox death may be minuscule for many groups though complications are actually quite common but I digress.
Let me give you a scenario involving chickenpox that I was in with my youngest. She was born at 34 weeks with IUGR and came home at just under 5lbs so we were required to bring her in for frequent weigh ins. So we bring in our tiny just off the ventilator baby to a required appointment to hear the doctor say through a cracked door that the kid in the room right next door who’s been on the same equipment and in the same waiting room has chickenpox. We had to wait in that exam room feeling absolutely terrified until the other patient left because chickenpox would if not killed then at bare minimum put my child back on a ventilator possibly for weeks.
I’m far from the only person with a preemie.
Vaccines frequently are not about you, they’re about the ENTIRE COMMUNITY. The preemies, the asthmatic, the cancer patient, the AIDS patient, the pregnant woman, etc… Allergies are one thing but even the kids with vaccine allergies are relying on herd immunity especially because they might be on steroids.
Also even if it was the law if your kid had an allergic reaction they’d obviously have a medical exemption. Delaying or avoiding vaccines because you feel like it is unconscionable though for ethical human beings.
silly little thing…. very well said.
This article is insensitive, disrespectful and not factual. For example, lemme add on to #4 for you: one of my good friends (born a perfectly healthy baby) contracted polio from the 18 month polio vaccination. He has lived and will live the rest of his life confined to a wheelchair.
I’m not anti-vax. Vaccinations are important. But I AM anti-harming children. And after watching VAXXED and choosing to be *informed* and *aware* of what is in our vaccines rather than to blindly believe that they’re safe, I am going to be extremely cautious when injecting my children. There is not one study that proves they are safe. Not one. Because–sorry to burst your bubble–they aren’t.
You are also extremely ignorant if you believe that just because someone attended medical school means they know everything there is to know about vaccinations. Medical professionals who “double up” and combine shots if appointments are missed have no idea what they hell they’re combining. Many children have died from being given “boosters” of multiple vaccinations, or have adverse reactions.
Don’t be like the author of this article. Choose to be informed, not naïve.
You’re not anti-vax, but you believe one of the most ill-informed, thoroughly debunked pieces of vitriolic anti-vaccine propaganda ever put to film? You’re not anti-vax, but you’ll repeat the thoroughly debunked lie that there aren’t any studies proving their safety? You’re not anti-vax, but you’ll repeat the tired mantra that, just because someone studied from experts in their field, with thousands of hours of scientific and peer-reviewed research under their belts, it doesn’t mean they know vaccines are safe?
You’re anti-vax. Get over yourself and get some self-awareness.
“I’m not anti-vaxx, but” is the new “I’m not a racist, but”…
I’m sorry you’re suffering from bigotry against the autistic because that’s ALL that movie was.
What a thoroughly nasty person you must be!
A 4 month old baby girl just died last week from getting 7 vaccination shots at once…
Vaccines are about money and that is it. End of story
Well since you said it on the internet, it must be true!
Where in the standard Vaccine Schedule do 4 month olds receive 7 vaccines at once?
Lies. Lies. Lies.
truth.
This has got to be the dumbest article I’ve ever seen and I’m blown away that it was actually published for the world to see. Whoever wrote this is a fuckin idiot. I seriously can’t stop laughing..
Go back to your cave, Jenna
you are absolutely right Jenna!!!!!
I have to chuckle at every comment that says some trite garbage like “stop attacking my beliefs” or “you’re being judgmental’!
Darlings, this issue is about facts and overwhelmingly from the entire medical community it is proven to be a fact that vaccines do NOT cause autism or whatever buzzword condition you dolts parrot on about. A fact. Not something that gives one tiny iota of a crap about if you believe it or not, it is still what it is. A f’n fact.
So yes, please whine and cry that your “beliefs” are under attack when in reality, it’s your intellect (or lack thereof) that people are questioning.
“Oh, he called us stupid, he’s so intolerant”
A) Yes I did. Don’t do and say stupid stuff so you don’t earn the title. Use that marvel of millions of years of evolution inside your head for something other than celebrity gossip and YouTube for once.
B) Whoever said anyone had to tolerate snowballing idiocy when it comes to life-threatening illnesses?
It’s cool that you think you’re edgy for listening to hippy doctors (you know, the kind without a degree and work out of a garden) and “ShdowGov666” on YouTube but don’t spread that garbage over to the rest of us with an IQ over 90. I’m pretty happy without polio, you should be, too.
Unwarranted cynical closing comment time: We’re all going to die whether you like it or not. Have a great day!
you are some kind of idiot..
Have you seen the movie, VAXXED? There are real coverups at the CDC, real facts that have been hidden from public view (and this is not just from the internet). The thing I really got from the documentary are that vaccines are not bad, but vaccines given before age 3 (and more than one vaccine given at a time) are where the real danger lies.
So you saw it in a movie… that must be much more factual than the internet right??
really Andi? really?maybe you should inconvenience yourself and go watch it before you judge it.
So you saw an ableist movie full for bigotry against the autistic that consulted with zero autistic people and actually sued several for disagreeing. Now think this through said conspiracy would have to involve not just the CDC but EVERY SINGLE government on planet Earth being in on the EXACT SAME conspiracy when these guys can’t agree on just about any other health policy completely.
When you weigh it out which do you think is likely: that there’s a worldwide conspiracy that happens to give the US and Iran as well as more governments then I can name here the exact same recommendations from there government health bodies or a documentary was wrong? Which is more likely by your estimation because the world contains significantly more government health bodies then the CDC.
It is not a good argument but why doesn’t everyone get autism or neurological complications from vaccines? If you think that vaccines cause those things then a lot more people should be affected. Right?
How about I believe tje more than 200 peer reviewed studies proving tje danger in vacximes..i nelieve the manufacturer inserts, which i have read and my dr has not. I believe the CDV whistleblower and his documented proof that the cdc dummped that data linking the mmr to increased autism. Etc etc etc. Oh believe the damage they did to my kids.
I believe in spell check. I also believe that about 99.8% of the people who have said their children are vaccine are full of crap.
TRUTH!
1. That’s incredibly insulting to say that the parents who choose not to inject their babies with toxic poisons are doing so because they “don’t like them”. A mother who wants nothing but the best for their children will do more research than the FBI. And that’s not just with vaccinating, it’s with everything! I’ll tell you one thing, I trust my research and knowledge and intuition on what’s best for my child more than any doctor, and to discredit all of that from a mother is saddening, especially when you’re a mother yourself.
2. The adverse reactions to vaccines typically don’t happen within 15 minutes unless you’re severely allergic. The reactions are typically delayed days, weeks and even years. The toxins from the vaccines can lodge itself in the brain and cause nerve damage that doesn’t show up until years later. For instance, the MMR vaccine contains a “slow virus” that hide in tissues for years! Most doctors don’t even give their own children this shot. And yes, the ingredients may be big words but that’s exactly why you should research them and understand them. An ingredient you may recognize that’s used in several vaccines today is Formaldehyde which is a carcinogenic EMBALMING FLUID. Um, no thanks.
3. It’s crazy to think ANYONE would base their child’s health on one meme without doing their research. I have no words for #3 because it’s pure nonsense. It takes a lot to go against what doctors have told us all our life that “vaccines saves lives” So, I can guarantee you that the parents who don’t vaccinate have either educated themselves by doing their own research or have had a child that was affected by them. And by “research” I don’t mean just asking your doctor.
4. Measles: a mild self–limiting disease of childhood. Measles itself doesn’t even cause all the side effects that the vaccine does. One side effect: Measles! Most of the diseases
5. That’s pretty incredible if one article could change one’s viewpoint on vaccines. I don’t know about you but I grew up with vaccines and was always told “they’re life-saving”. So, it took way more than just one article to have the opinion I do now. And if you think for one minute I’m going to base my child’s future health on one article, you are sadly mistaken. As far as Pediatricians go, yes, they have medical degrees and have studied many hours. But if you think your doctor knows what’s in vaccines, you’re wrong. And the doctors that DO know don’t vaccinate their own children. Want to know how much Pediatricians are paid for vaccinating our children? Go to: https://wellnessandequality.com/2016/06/20/how-much-money-do-pediatricians-really-make-from-vaccines/
So, to leave a decision up to those who make their living selling vaccines may not be the way to go.
Real protection has to begin with information-sound information, not propaganda. We must learn about the ingredients, culture media, the testing involved (or lack thereof), the politics and economics involved, & the actual anatomy and physiology of infants. Natural immunity is the only true immunity. You know, it’s pretty amazing how God designed our baby’s bodies and what they can do without interference.
I certainly hope no one ever makes broad generalizations about you and your beliefs, and I certainly hope you don’t go around pretending you care about love, tolerance, and acceptance of others. I certainly hope you don’t, you know, walk around thinking you oppose bigots, or know how to raise children who aren’t bigots. Because that make you completely hypocritical for writing this condescending, bigoted, narrow-minded article. Imagine if someone called you a child abuser for teaching your children that homosexuality is OK? Amazing how leftists think that everyone other than them is not allowed to make judgments of others. You should be ashamed of yourself for the awful things you’re saying about loving mothers who care for their children. Most of the women I know who don’t vaccinate do so after their children were harmed by vaccines. I hope you never have to go through what they’ve been through. It’s totally possible to consider someone wrong without making such intolerant, hateful comments about who they are as parents.
I actually think you ARE a child abuser for teaching your child intolerance while also not vaccinating them. Like who DO you care about?
How is vaccination a left-right issue? Vaccination just works. It has saved millions of lives. It’s a fact. Facts don’t care about politics. Facts don’t change just because you don’t like them.
From The National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act of 1986 (NCVIA): “No vaccine manufacturer shall be liable in a civil action for damages arising from a vaccine-related injury or death associated with the administration of a vaccine after October 1, 1988, if the injury or death resulted from side effects that were unavoidable even though the vaccine was properly prepared and was accompanied by proper directions and warnings.” The risk of injury or death by vaccination is why the decision to vaccinate must always be the choice of the individual, or the choice of the parent of a minor child. Every medical intervention has risk. We must always have the choice.
The choice of an individual parent to be foolish with respect to their own child is fine. When that parent’s choice of idiocy threatens my immunocompromised child, that’s not fine. Not only are you stupid, but you are incredibly selfish.
Why is your immunocompromised child more valuable than my little boy? He was vaccine injured by the MMR vaccine at 16 months. He has never had cancer, or any other disease that would cause him to be immune compromised. He was a normal healthy baby until the MMR vaccine. He is 13 now, and I wouldn’t trade the last 13 years of hard work, heartache, and homeschooling/tutoring for anything. You accuse me of selfishness. But you are the one who thinks that the only life that matters is your own child’s. And to hell with everybody else’s…face it, as parents, we are ALL going to be selfish when it comes to our own kids. And there is nothing you could ever say or do to make me compromise my rights to protect my son from further injury due to a vaccine schedule that needs to be thoroughly re-evaluated and fixed so that it is safe for ALL children. Until such a time, I refuse to play “roulette” with my children’s lives, just because you say I should to benefit yours.
Why though? Why do you get to choose to endanger others? I’m going to assume that you don’t live out in the woods never coming in contact with others. That means it makes sense for us as a community to expect a certain behavior that protects the community. No one has the right to endanger others and while you may have the right to turn down vaccines according to the supreme court in 1912 you have NO rights to public services while unvaccinated.
Vaccination is basically a government program with how incredibly subsidized it is and has been for years so it makes sense for lawsuits to go through their current channels not the individual companies.
Mary, I dare you to read the book “Evidence of Harm” by David Kirby and then stand by this awful judgemental article. If nothing else, the book will give you reasonable doubt.
Stupidest author ever. I hope she doesn’t have any kids, or she’ll be shooting them up with toxins at every chance she gets. Baby Boomers had all of the viruses in spite of being vaccinated for them, and I’ve never heard of anybody dying from measles, yet two kids in my family were injured right after having vaccines. These kind of scare mongers are more than likely stockholders in Pharmaceutical Companies, where profits are more important than human lives.
Funny that you say you haven’t heard of any deaths caused by measles, kinda devalues your whole comment and yourself considering a quick google search shows that 130,000 measles deaths occurred in 2015, mostly in young children.
Those deaths did not occur in countries with adequate nutrition and medical care. In the US, we’ve had an average of one measles death per year for the past 10+ years. Most of those were immunocompromised adults, not children.
Those immunocompromised adults who died might have been saved if a higher proportion of kids were vaccinated!
There is of course no proof of that. Throw immunocompromised adults could also have died from the common cold even if they didn’t get measles.
TRUTH!
So what about the ‘perfectly healthy’ child that ended up taking almost a year recover from neurological complications that manifested within HOURS of her shot??? Her 18 month shot almost killed her and it was her mom’s INSTINCT that saved her.
Vaccines are a crap shoot for anyone that takes them.
They don’t cause nuero conditions, but they can bring symptoms to one out. So, the baby was already sick! She just got sick quicker because of the vaccine that’s why the Dr. asks if the baby has any problems or is acting any different…
“”Vaccines are a crap shoot…”
Why? Because you say so? That kind of logic leads to submarines with screen doors. Do yourself a favor, Paulie, and go back to beating up your little sister so Rocky can kick your ass again.
TRUTH
TRUTH PAULIE
They don’t know good satire when they read it. Maybe you opened up another issue “a lack of adult reading skills”. ??
By posting this your putting children in serious danger, you peple who do not vaccinate your child you should be ashamed of your selfs very much so, is a bit of a fewer or none at all in my case, is it really better than possibly killing your child from a dangerous disease
Did you even read this article? I bet you saw the title and then made that comment. Please take a few minutes to go back and read it. It is actually is pro-vaccine and keeping preventable diseases away from children.
Can anyone explain this to all the students at Harvard that have done mumps. Fully vaccinated, all the students! (including the ones sick)?
Or to China who had in 2009 an epidemic measles who impacted vaccinated and un-vaccinated people just because another genotype occurred (D7).
My current doctor recommend to not be afraid about bacteria and viruses and to build a strong body. And we did it! no flu, no pills in the last 6 years, all the blood tests are perfect, and I am blood donor. The sport and happy simple life is the key. Yep, we still have vaccines, the mininum and proper for our family and our region.
Saying a vaccine is useless because of a new genotype coming out is like saying a bullet proof vest is useless because you can get shot in the leg. Is it 100% perfect? No, but it helps and still saves lives.
When you’re at peace with your own decisions, you don’t feel the need to try and force everyone else to go along with you.
There’s clearly one side of this debate that isn’t at peace with their decision…
Love this!
Reading through the replies in this thread shows one conclusion…
For the most part, one side of the debate seems determined to want to force everyone to agree with them and do what they do no matter what…
The other side seems content and happy with their own decisions, and has no problem with the “other guys” making their own decisions.
It’s as if the pro-vax side is trying to convince everyone to go along with them at any cost in order to make themselves feel better about their decision to vaccinate….
…almost like they need some kind of weird reinforcement to quiet that inner voice in their head that’s asking them why they injected toxins into their own children.
Because if everyone else is doing it, it must be OK… right?
because it affects more than just themselves and why the fuck wouldnt u protect yourself if u could u would rather just get sick possibly sicken others because u thought theres to many chemicals involved or something else equally retarded it is introducing a small amount of the illness into the body so then your body becomes able to defend from a larger amount of this illness in the future and it is a small enough amount where your not going to get violently ill or ill at all for that matter
You go right ahead and explain that to my daughter who was functioning as an intelligent person before her vaccination. Now she’s showing autistic traits and has gone backwards in her abilities to function. But hey as long as everyone elses kids might possibly not get sick, my childs future and quality of life really doesn’t matter. I must be one of the people who wants my children to die since I’m not risking any more of my babies becoming autistic. Interesting that you are happy to pump your kid with carcinogens and something they are potentially allergic to and claim people who don’t are the ones killing their kids. I bet you think flouride is safe too. Since its made from chemical wastes that factories can’t legally dump due to their hazzard to the environment, oh and are directly linked to brain damage. Do your research properly before telling the world your opinion.
So you’d rather have a dead child than an autistic one?
That argument might hold water if vaccine preventable illnesses were a guaranteed death sentence. Unfortunately for that argument, that’s not the case in places where people have access to adequate nutrition, clean water, and medical care.
FOLEY28…. RATHER DISGUSTING COMMENT.
It doesn’t cause Autism, it’s been proven Autism is genetic! It doesn’t always show right away that’s why most children aren’t diagnosed until school age. The shot however can bring Nuero symptoms on faster than normal. Most Autistic children are very intelligent and lead very normal lives. Do your homework and god bless your daughter!!!
Look up mercury and why vaccines have it…youll be surprised if you actually research all the ingridients. 😉
because it doesn’t just affect you.. people who don’t vaccinate their children can affect more than just their own kids.. if it just affected you we wouldn’t give a shit..
If your kids vaccinated against them why do you care? Are you afraid your vaccination won’t work?
THANK YOU!!!
Ok, not true! People our saying that we are killing our kids by giving then “dangerous” vaccines. You are only seeing what you want to see! So biased as most hippies are.
Herd immunity. It is not about YOU.
It is about the welfare of everyone around you.
TRUTH DR.!!!!!!!
My concern is that if I vaccinate my children, they might not get taken up in The Rapture. I read on the Internet that this can happen.
???
Geordie Brown – You are joking I hope
GEORGIE BROWN…. IDIOT.
First of all I agree children and adults should all be vaccinated. For the benefit of the child and adult. That being said just because you are vaccinated does not mean you won’t catch something. People that have immunizations and low immune systems have an even greater chance. This is why we must all be vaccinated to help prevent the spread of disease. As a former H1N1 survivor who had never had the flu shot and now having a compromised immune system and continued health issues as a result, I can say I’ve had all recommended immunizations since that time and I’m still not 100%
Yet another “expert” who didn’t do her research. So boring.
I literally don’t know how you sleep at night. You are complete trash.
If you put your kids and others’ children at risk of suffering and death because of your ignorance and inability to read scientific peer-reviewed research, you are acting much more like “trash”
As an ER nurse I have seen parents bring their children in for a long list of maladies including fever, pink eye, stomach pain after eating a huge Thanksgiving dinner and a fever/rash combo after not vaccinating their kids and traveling to a foreign country where they caught measles. They then came home, passed the measles on to five other children, went to McDonalds to eat, then sat in a large waiting room at a local hospital. I call this “lack of coping skills”. This same lack typifies people who do not believe in vaccinating their children. Their child ended up in Isolation in ICU at a Children’s Hospital with high fever and dehydration that caused the child to not produce any urine for almost 24 hours. Would you wish that on your child?
