What I love most about these cupcakes (other than how adorable they are) is that they are so easy to make.

Here’s the thing, I am not very good at creating handmade edible creatures like my husband is, so, if it comes down to making or baking something myself, I choose pre-made candies to get the job done.

In this case, I landed on some shark gummies and life saver candies to make it look like Shark Cupcakes and a flotation device (not that it would save you from a shark attack) but you get the picture…

Now that you have the recipe, you are going to want to know how to put these delicious treats together…

Once you’ve cooked and cooled the cupcakes, it is time to decorate.

Attach the frosting tip to your icing bag and fill with blue frosting. Generously frost each Shark cupcake with blue frosting. I like using a star tip, it gives the frosting that swirled water look.

Now, place 1 gummy Shark on top of each cupcake. Easy enough, right?

Now give each cupcake 1 Lifesaver and use the Wilton red icing to make lines on it like to look like a life preserver. Not that this would save you in shark attack but ya know, it makes it extra cute.

Repeat with all cupcakes.

Now, eat them! Nom Nom Nom!

By the way, you’ll want to store any left over cupcakes in the fridge depending on the type of icing you use.

Happy Eating these shark cupcakes!
